05/12/2026 - General Update

Just a general update. Started a long overdue job change. Episode is a few weeks old by now but I guested on Wrestling Omakase again. Hobbies & life are kind of on hold while I transition to a new schedule. Trying to keep up with my Match Guide but I have been slacking with the updates. Like I have been wanting to add most of Rina's Cinderella run but haven't wrote anything up. 2026 has been a great year for joshi wrestling so far and my backlog keeps growing. It's been a week and I haven't even looked at Marvelous' Yokohama BUNTAI.

Wrestling Omakase #291: AJPW Champion Carnival Night 1, STARDOM 4/8 & 4/11 Korakuens, Sendai Girl 4/12 Korakuen, GLEAT 4/8 Shinjuku FACE & TJPW 4/11 & 4/12 Vancouver w/ John DK

No exploding tooth or sudden new job could keep these two Johns off the air! Your humble host is having a slightly harder time talking than usual, but they gut through it for YOU, THE LISTENER, as they break down a surprisingly strong opening night of AJPW's 2026 Champion Carnival! Plus, full reviews of two STARDOM Korakuens back to back as the road to Yokohama Arena (finally) heats up, an enormous Sendai Girls Korakuen with a crazy woman almost breaking her face, THE FINAL GLEAT REVIEW IN THE HISTORY OF THIS PODCAST (maybe), and finally, two perfectly fine little Tokyo Joshi shows from Vancouver.

03/10/2026 - Podcasting

I made my first Wresting Omakase apperance propper. This one was a just under 5 hour monster, covering 12 shows, over 7 companies & a million side tanagents about our struggles learning Japanese. I hope I wasn't too negative but there is a pretty obvious tone difference between the men's and women's promotions reviews. My bias are in favor to joshi wrestling. It was super fun helping convert fellow John into a Ice Ribbon fan.

Wrestling Omakase #286: STARDOM Cinderella Nights 1-3, NJPW Anniversary Show & NJC Nights 1-4, NOAH 3/8 Yokohama, DG 3/3 Korakuen, TJPW 3/7 ShinKiba, ICE 3/8 Itabashi & Universe Magic 3/9 w/ John DK

-Nights 1-3 of the 2026 STARDOM Cinderella Tournament covered in great detail! Already a great tournament and it's not even over yet!
-Nights 1-4 of the New Japan Cup, which includes the Anniversary Show. Uh, this kinda fucking sucked!
-NOAH's 3/8 Yokohama Budokan show featuring a great main event and a very confusing end of show segment!
-DG's 3/3 Korakuen show that continued their uninspiring run of late!
-Tokyo Joshi's 3/7 show from Shin Kiba 1st Ring continuing their build to Ryogoku at the end of the month! How does Yuki Arai keep doing this??
-Ice Ribbon's 3/8 show from Itabashi, because this is officially an Ice Ribbon podcast now!
-And finally, the special Universe Magic show from (the sadly closing!!!) Shinjuku FACE!

01/18/2026 - Recent Updates
Now that 2026 is here the Match Log is not up and active. So far Miu Watanabe vs Suzume is taking the number 1 spot with Hazuki vs Mei Seira not following far behind. NJPW also getting two dome matches on the board with the IWGP and Tanahashi's retirement match.

I was on Wrestling Omakase 2025 joshi wrap up talking about Stardom, TJPW, Marigold & Actwres Girls. Between 9 guests 12 different joshi companies were covered. Part 1 covered the men's promotions and was just as massive. It was super cool that the Tokyo Sport Awards broke when we where recording live. Saya Kamitani actually won! [Pro Wrestling Awards] Stardom's Saya Kamitani makes history! First female MVP "Well, that's only natural!"

Wrestling Omakase #276: Wrestle Kingdom Week 2025-26 Preview Part 1 (NJPW, NOAH, AJPW, DDT, BASARA, Ganbare, BJW & GLEAT)

-Puro Links page is starting to get filled out. Just throwing up news and streaming links at random for now and will go over it later.

-SNS links are active now so follow me. I'm mostly posting on BlueSky right now. Debating on bringing back my Twitter just for wrestling content. That still feels icky but it's been much harder to follow the Japanese side of things without it.

You're Most Likely Here For the Pro Wrestling
The main focus for the moment is the 2026 match guide. I'm not a big fan of star ratings as a way of ranking matches. I enjoy rookie struggles too much to be Mr. Objective but looking back on 2025 and jumping between promotion I was starting to forget the highlights. The Purolinks section is going to be a contained list of every major promotion's website & streaming alongside the native japanese news sources. All this information is out there but as an English speaker it's hard to come by in any organized fashion.

I'm mostly a joshi wrestling fan. My big 3 at the moment are TJPW, Stardom & Marigold but I regularly bounce around and watch everything. 2025 has been an odd year with TJPW my personal favorite having a bit of a reset year transitioning people up and down the cards. Stardom is a company I have been hot/cold on since the Bushiroad purchase has had an incredable year and is the clear number 1 of 2025. I hesitate to give credit to one person but since Taro Okada has taken over everything that has plauged this company feels back on track. The talent has always been there but the company was so disorginized it became a nightmare to watch. Marigold while the most inconsistent they are starting to settle in and have been my favorite promotion to follow this year. It no longer feels like Stardom & Actwres Girls crossover show. Miku Aono, Mai Sakurai & Victoria Yuzuki have been on fire all year. The rookies for the most part have found themselve. If Shinno Omukai isn't a major star before she graduates highschool I will be shocked. 2025 is probably the year I watched the least of the Men's promotions. I've enjoyed everything I have watched from DDT but i've only been watching what I randomly catch live on Wrestle Universe.

Current skate setup: Standard Omni V2
Currently skating the Omni V2 with 50/50 Prime frames & very worn Crown Liners. I've enjoyed them so far. They're the rare skate that fit my wide toebox. I'm getting some ankle pressure near the cuff bolt that I havn't figured out yet. I think I'm going to stick with them for a while but I'm split between the Omnis or going back to Razor SLs.
RevOut Release Date: Eventually
Still in production but delayed due to life. The life of self funded solo indie game dev.
There can be no love without pro wrestling
